Following the disagreement over fee hike at Natural Resources College (NRC) which led to the closure of the institution two months ago, Management of the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) has resolved to reduce the tuition fees by 12.5 percent at all its campuses
LUANAR Registrar Phillip Kaonda confirmed of the development in a statement made available to the press seen by FaceofMalawi reporter.
According to Kaonda, the agreement has been reached after reviewing the complaint raised by students from all the campuses.
Kaonda also went further to say that NRC will open its doors today, Monday November 21, 2016 and students are required to contribute a sum of K7 275 towards the cost of damages incurred during the fracas led to the closure of the college.
The students have also been advised of pay at least half of the semester’s fees before commencement of registration which began on Saturday, September 19.
