Former People’s Party (PP) spokesperson and administrative secretary Kenneth Msonda has come out of his sabbatical leave to join the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) proving right the rumours that he pocked MK12 million from President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to join the Party.

Two months ago Msonda made an announcement through his facebook page that he has taken an indefinite sabbatical leave from active politics.

He said within the period he will reflect on his spiritual life and political party journey.

And yesterday Msonda retired from Sabbatical leave to join the ruling DPP together with fired Zomba Ntonya PP member of parliament Patrick Makina, Clara Makungwa , Jones Chingola, former organising ecretray Salim Bagus, Professor Etta Banda, Prof Isaac Lamba,Wamkulu Nchauta Khumbo Chirwa,Henry Mumba and Shabani Mchizi.

In his speech at Masintha Ground in Lilongwe during a political rally organized by DPP, Msonda said he was glad to be welcomed in DPP rank and file.

Msonda said he will do whatever he can to support the Party in developing the country.

Turning to his ambition to contents as DPP MP in the 2019 general election in Rumphi East, a constituency currently under Kamlepo Kalua who is also PP third Vice President for the North, Msonda said he is ready to fight for the seat.

Meanwhile social and political analysts in the country have warned DPP to tread carefully with these defectors.
