Judiciary support staffs have vowed to continue with their strike which started on Friday if government will not address their grievances.

The employees said this on Monday when Chief Justice Andrew Nyirenda and the leaders of the Judiciary Workers Union met to find a lasting solution on the problem.

According to information at hand, the meeting which lasted for about three hours did not yield any results as workers insisted that government should hike theirs salaries by 27 percent.

Speaking in an interview with the press, Judiciary Support Staff Union president Charles Lizigeni confirmed of the meeting.

Lizigeni said both side failed to agree one thing hence the strike will continue.

Judiciary spokesman Mlenga Mvula confirmed of the development in an interview.

Mvula said the workers demanded that “their demands must be met at all cost.”

He said among their concerns, were salary disparities coming from the background that when the main Civil Service got an increment of 45 percent, Judiciary support staff only received 18 percent thus they
