Information sourced by faceofMalawi indicates that councilors for the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) have sealed the office of the District Commissioner in Chiradzulu.
The ward councilors are accusing the DC Mrs. Memory Kaleso of favouring people affiliated to the opposition People’s Party (PP).
But information at hand indicates that, the ward councilors are against Kaleso because he refused them to abuse council resources for political activities.
Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development spokesperson Muhlabase Mughogho confirmed of the development in an interview, saying the move taken by DPP ward councilors in the district is very shocking.
Earlier this week, DPP ward councilors asked the Ministry of Local Government to transfer Kaleso by today or else they will force her out of the office violently.
