Vice president Saulos Chilima on Friday joined St Patrick`s Catholic Christians in the way of the cross.
Dressed in black shirt and trousers, Chilima joined a procession from St. Ignatius Parish in area 30 through the area 18 suburb to St Patrick`s Parish.
Together with other Christians, the vice president was seen carrying the tall cross as a reflection on Jesus’s suffering and crucifixion.
Among other high profile officials who attended the procession which was led by St Patricks Parish Priest Maxwell Kubalasa, were Lexten Kachama (Inspector General of Police) and Mary Shawa, Chief Director in the Ministry of Gender, Children, Disabilities and Social Welfare.
