Controversial Rumphi East Member of Parliament Kamlepo Kalua who is also opposition People’s Party (PP) third Vice President for the north has warned that he will take unspecified action to anyone involved in his abduction.

Kalua went missing last week and was found on Sunday at Kwacha Roundabout in the commercial capital Blantyre while tied both hands and legs with blue ropes.

In a statement released on Monday, the police through its national spokesperson James Kadadzera accused the Kalua of staging his own abduction to gain political sympathy.

Speaking in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS) on Thursday, Kalua warned anyone involved in his abduction.

Kalua also blamed the Police for concluding that he faked his abduction arguing the development has led him to be tried, convicted and sentenced by the public.

When asked as to when he is reporting to Parliament, Kalua said he will report to Parliament after accessing medical treatment from South Africa.

Kamlepo’s missing came days after the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) invaded his house in Nkolokosa and impounded three vehicles.

His abduction has attracted social media memes with others mocking him.
