Information sourced by faceofmalawi indicates that Nsanje Lalanje Member of Parliament Sam Ganda will be buried in Mwanza and not in Nsanje as earlier announced.
Ganda, who served as Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry during the reign of Dr. Joyce Banda died on cancer on Tuesday in India.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Corporation Francis Kasaila told Malawians that the body of Sam Ganda will arrive in the country today and will be buried in Nsanje.
Contrary to this statement, Parliament spokesperson Leonard Mengezi said late Sam Ganda will be buried in Mwanza District.
According Mengezi, the decision has been arrived at following advice from family members that the MP should be buried in Mwanza.
Meanwhile the change in burial place of late Sam Ganda has attracted debate among people from Nsanje Lalanje constituency with others wondering as to whether they were being represented by who was originally from Nsanje.
