Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church founder, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri on Saturday left thousands of his follows gathered at National Stadium in Gaborone, Botswana disappointed.
Bushiri was scheduled to hold a two days crusade but he failed to do so after failing to acquire a visa to enter Botswana.
Instead the man of God directed local Pastors in Botswana to hold the crusade on his behalf
Bushiri’s media officer Ephraim Nyondo confirmed the development in an interview with one of the local daily papers in the country.
Last month, the government of Botswana through the Director of Immigration Mabuse Pule restricted Bushiri from entering that country on Visa free.
Government Notice No. 271 of 2017 dated April 26 and published in the Government Gazette states that Shepard Huxley Bushiri will now have to apply for a Visa in order to visit the country.
“It is true, but we never said he should not come to Botswana. We want to know when he comes here so that we monitor his movements,” Pule was quoted in one of the papers in Botswana.
It is said that over 15 thousand people gathered at converged on the 22 000-capacity stadium from 4am.
