Minibus users have now to dig deeper into their pocket following a decision taken by Minibus operators to hike minibus farers effective June 23, 2017.
Minibus Owners Association of Malawi (MOAM) Secretary General Coxley Kamange confirmed of the development in an interview with faceofmalawi reporter.
According to Kamanga, Minibus owners have called off the strike scheduled for Friday and instead they have hiked minibus fares.
Kamange also said they stopped regulating fare prices after a court tussle with the Competition and Fair Trading Commission-CFTC.
