Two men all aged 19 are on remand at Maula prison awaiting judgment after they were arrested for abducting and raping two young girls of 14-years-old.
The men, identified as Alex Chikwama and Dzikambani Gwiridza had between 11 and 13 August abducted the young girls and raped them in the area of Chimoka in Lilongwe, according to Lilongwe police relations officer Kingsley Dandaula.
“Two days after the girls were nowhere to be seen, their families reported the matter to police. One person had revealed that they were last seen with the suspects hence that led to their arrest,” said Dandaula.
After being taken to hospital, results revealed that the girls were sexually abused.
Alex Chikwama comes from Mlenga village while Dzinkambani Gwiridza comes from Nkando village, both are from Traditional Authority Chikowi in Zomba district.
