Despite Government plan of recruiting secondary school teachers through interviews was opposed by many stakeholders including Teachers Union of Malawi (TUM),  Education minister Mr. Bright Msaka says the ministry will stick to the procedure.

Msaka has confirmed to source that shortlisting of the applicants is over and the interviews will be conducted within two weeks from now.

TUM is against the procedure, saying it will leave out more graduated teachers.

However, the approach is very important as it will employ committed and well qualified teachers.
